Series: Seeing God in Times Like These
Tired and Sore
September 20, 2020 | Rev. Dr. Chris J. Hayes
Passage: Genesis 2:4-8
Join us for worship as we take a fresh look at Genesis 2:4-8, 3:16-19. In Michelle Clark's message "Tired and Sore", we're reminded that throughout scripture and history, God shows up for those who are tired, sore, oppressed, and in pain. We can see God in good times, but we must not forget to see God in the pain as well.
Joining her in worship are Rev. Dr. Chris J. Hayes, Senior Pastor at First UMC Arlington, Rev. Molly Hayes, Lead Pastor at Good Shepherd UMC, Wease Harden, and the Bible Explorers class.
In music, Sean Hale sings "'Tis So Sweet to Trust in Jesus" and "Cry No More". He's accompanied by Arthur Busby on violin, and Dr. Jamila Javadova-Spitzberg on piano & organ, who also perform "Morning Has Broken" and "He Leadeth Me" during the prelude and postlude.

Series Information
In the strange new realities that we find ourselves in, how do we continue to find and see God clearly? We are promised that God is always with us and that we are never alone, but seeing God and God’s work in our daily living can be a great challenge. Join us the next several weeks as we seek to learn how to see God in our midst.
