For those within the church tradition the scripture known as the great commission is a common teaching of Jesus before he leaves the Earth as he instructs his disciples to go and make other disciples. The finer point we often miss in this scripture is just how new and radical this command really was, especially for a bunch who by the text “still doubted”.

The resurrection of Jesus Christ is not the end of the story, it is the beginning of new life for us all. Living the Easter story and being people of new life and new beginnings is a key component of the Christian life.
