Series: Journey to New Life
Love One Another
May 09, 2021 | Rev. Dr. Chris J. Hayes
Passage: John 15:9-17
Many times, we respond to different situations and different people with complaints and frustrations instead of responding with love. In today’s message, Rev. Dr. Chris J. Hayes, Senior Pastor of First United Methodist Church of Arlington helps us explore how we can have the courage and strength to love another, just as Jesus explains in John 15:9-17. On this Mother’s Day, the self-sacrificial love of mothers and mother figures is a good example of the kind of love Jesus calls us to share. Join us as we celebrate the love of Jesus, and we share a special message from children.
Also in worship today, Rev. Molly Hayes, Lead Pastor of Church of the Good Shepherd and Loni Fancher, Director of Student Ministries. They are joined by Sean Hale, Director of Worship & Music singing “The Gift of Love” with Dr. Jamila Javadova-Spitzberg on piano.

As we journey from wherever we have been to where we are going, we must remember that we are always Easter people and should be defined by the hope of new beginnings, new opportunities, and new life in Jesus Christ.
