Patience

Passage: Genesis 27:30-36

This week in Table Worship, Pastor Chris and Pastor Michelle reflect on "Patience", centered around Genesis 27:30-36. The story of Jacob and Esau is tragic in many ways, but it does show us the patience needed to deal with the many real pains in life. The family dynamics we read about in scripture are often present in our families as well and learning to be patient as we gather at the table with each other is vitally important.

Series Information

Galatians 5 tells us that there are obvious fruits that the Spirit gives and that we are to produce as followers of Jesus Christ. If we can experience and exhibit love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control, we are well on our way to being the people God created us to be. God offers this abundance of fruit for each one of us, and we can offer these fruits at every table where we find ourselves.
