Invite Yourself Over

Series: Stories From the Table

Invite Yourself Over

February 25, 2022 | Rev. Dr. Chris J. Hayes

Passage: Luke 19:1-10

Welcome to Table Worship! This week, Pastor Chris & Pastor Molly look at how Jesus offers us the perfect example of what it looks like to live God’s love in the world. In Luke 19, we see that Jesus seeks out those who would never feel worthy and invites himself into their lives in order to help them know God’s love and acceptance. We might not want to invite ourselves over to someone else’s dinner party, but we can invite ourselves into people’s lives so that we can share the light and love of Jesus with them.

In addition to this time of online worship, we invite you to join us in person or via live stream on Sundays at 9 am in the Great Hall and 11 am in the Sanctuary.

Series Information

There is no better way for us to learn about the amazing presence of God’s love and how we can learn from that love than by looking at the example of Jesus Christ. Jesus was the perfect example of how God loves us and how we are supposed to live as faithful disciples. Looking at the stories of Jesus around the table while he lived here among us gives us insights, learnings, and hope about how we too can be more inviting around the tables in life.
