Vibrant Worship

Series: Values Along the Journey

Vibrant Worship

May 23, 2021 | Rev. Dr. Chris J. Hayes

Passage: Psalms 84:1-12

Welcome to worship on this Pentecost Sunday! In today’s message, Rev. Dr. Chris J. Hayes explains that even though it is easy to get stuck on our journey of faith, the first Pentecost reminds us the Holy Spirit can help us through all things. Just as the disciples were different after experiencing Pentecost, we too can experience the power of the Holy Spirit to give us the desire and ability to praise God with everything we have and everything we are.

Today we also recognize the wonderful sixth-graders who just completed the confirmation process into the United Methodist Church. Pastor Chris is joined in worship by Rev. Ramiro Rodriguez and Rev. Molly Hayes. Music includes Elizabeth Stage singing “Spirit of the Living God” and Dr. Jamila Javadova-Spitzberg on piano with Arthur Busby on violin offering special music “Abide with Me”.
