Series: United Not Divided

United With the World Around Us

October 11, 2020 | Rev. Dr. Chris J. Hayes

Passage: Romans 12:1-5

If we are truly living the life that Christ calls us to live, then we look at others with dignity and respect, no matter how different they might be. As we begin our new sermon series, "United Not Divided", Rev. Chris J. Hayes reflects on this in a message centered around Romans 12:1-5. Joining him in worship is Rev. Molly Hayes, Lead Pastor at Good Shepherd UMC, Loni Fancher, Director of Youth Ministries at First UMC Arlington, and the Rainbow Sunday school class.

In music, Sean Hale sings "Forward Through the Ages" and "An Offering", accompanied by Dr. Jamila Javadova-Spitzberg. Chris Wagner performs the prelude and postlude music, "Come Thou Fount" and "Wonderful Words of Life".

Series Information

Finding unity in God’s unconditional love and grace allows us to be thankful for all of God’s children – even those who vote, believe, and think differently than we do. Christ insisted on unity of purpose, vision, and love no matter our differences. Let us journey together to find unity not division, to be united, not divided!
