The Regular Pit Stop

July 11, 2021 | Rev. Dr. Chris J. Hayes

Passage: Mark 2:23-28

Welcome to worship today! Everyone needs a pit stop along the journey of life. Sometimes we feel like we are responsible for everything and we forget that God created the gift of Sabbath rest for each and every one of us. In part two of the “Sabbath Journey” series, Rev. Dr. Chris J. Hayes reminds us that we need time to stop, relax and appreciate the calmness of God’s presence, creation and providence. Today’s message “The Regular Pit Stop” explores how Jesus’s words in Mark 2:23-38 helps us remember “the Sabbath was created for humans; humans weren’t created for the Sabbath.“
