Seeing How to Stay in Love With God

August 16, 2020 | Rev. Dr. Chris J. Hayes

Passage: John 15:1-8

When we stay connected to God’s love and grace, all things are made possible. In this week's message, Rev. Dr. Chris Hayes delivers a message on the last of John Wesley's three simple rules: Stay in love with God. Staying connected and in love with God through prayer, worship, scripture, and so many other ways allows us to live the faithful lives we are called to live. Join us as we strive to stay connected to our loving God and produces the fruits of discipleship. This week's scripture is John 15:1-8.

Joining him in worship are Rev. Molly Hayes, Lead Pastor at Good Shepherd UMC and Rev. Ramiro Rodriguez, Associate Pastor at First UMC Arlington. In music, Sean Hale sings "Praise to the Lord, the Almighty" and "To Behold Thee" accompanied by Dr. Jamila Javadova-Spitzberg on the piano and organ, in addition to a virtual greeting from the Chancel Choir.

We also want to extend a warm welcome to the Deakyne family as they join our First Church family week.

If you have any prayer requests, you can send them to us at or give us a call in the church office at 817-274-2571. We are thankful for your continued support of our ministries. If you'd like to make an offering online, you can do so at arlingtonmethodist.org/give
