Make Time for Gratitude

October 24, 2021 | Rev. Dr. Chris J. Hayes

Passage: Ecclesiastes 2:24-3:8

The song, "Turn! Turn! Turn!", from the late 1950s uses the words from Ecclesiastes 3 to explain that there is a season for most of the things we experience in life. But having a spirit of gratitude isn’t limited to one specific time or season for Christians striving to live like Jesus. Rev. Dr. Chris J. Hayes kicks off the series “Cultivate a Grateful Journey” with today’s message, “Make Time for Gratitude”, exploring how people who acknowledge that God has done everything for us and will always be with us tend to have grateful spirits even in the middle of difficulty and struggle. Today’s message is based on scripture from Ecclesiastes 2:24-3:8.

Series Information

Our attitude and how we see the world around us is one of the biggest parts of being a faithful disciple of Jesus Christ. For those who are walking daily with Jesus, we see the world through Jesus’ eyes, not just from our human perspective. This means that no matter what, we see reason for gratitude and thanksgiving (rejoicing in all circumstances) and finding the Good News, even in the difficult times of life.
