Series: Cultivate a Grateful Journey

Around Every Corner

November 07, 2021 | Rev. Dr. Chris J. Hayes

Passage: 1 Thessalonians 5:16-24

Looking back over the past two years, there have been many unexpected twists and turns. For instance, in November of 2019 we weren’t expecting a pandemic to be around the corner. Despite what is in our path, 1 Thessalonians 5:16-24 tells us we should rejoice in all circumstances. In today’s message “Around Every Corner”, Rev. Dr. Chris J. Hayes explains we don’t rejoice because we like everything going on in our lives, but our rejoicing is a witness to God’s goodness, presence, and love.

Series Information

Our attitude and how we see the world around us is one of the biggest parts of being a faithful disciple of Jesus Christ. For those who are walking daily with Jesus, we see the world through Jesus’ eyes, not just from our human perspective. This means that no matter what, we see reason for gratitude and thanksgiving (rejoicing in all circumstances) and finding the Good News, even in the difficult times of life.
