Young Adult Ministry at FUMC of Arlington

We have a growing young adult ministry  at FUMC of Arlington that strives to provide opportunities for us all to grow in our faith through bible study, worship, and fellowship.

Below are a few ways you can get connected.

Who: Post-college 20s
Where: Room 266
What: We are a class of singles, married, and married with children young adults ages 23 to 30.  Our goal as a class is to grow spiritually together, build new friendships, and strengthen existing relationships.  We accomplish this by meeting Sunday mornings at 9:30A.M., hanging out at scheduled and random times, cook-outs, camping trips and church wide events.  Our class is discussion based, and you can expect diverse topics.  If you would like more information please contact our class president Kyle L. Martin at kylelmartin87@hotmail.com.

The Community

When: First and Third Thursdays of the month at 6:00 PM
Where: Room 154
What: The Community is a group of people who are committed to growing in our spiritual lives.  We eat dinner together with our kids, and then the kids go to the nursery while we share in a study together. We are currently studying Richard Foster’s book “A Celebration of Discipline.”

This group is led by Rev. Estee Valendy and her husband, Jason.  For more information, contact Estee at valendy@arlingtonmethodist.org or 817-274-2571.

Mission and Other Opportunities

We also offer opportunities to do mission work, participate in retreats and other events, and to be involved in the life of the church. Our young adult ministry is a place where you can come and grow in your faith, while strengthening friendships that can last for a lifetime.
