What to Expect

What to Expect

Welcome to First United Methodist Church of Arlington! We’re glad you’re interested in finding out more about us. We are a welcoming community growing in grace together through worship and study, while sharing God’s love by serving those in need.

We want to help you in your search for a great church. We invite you to visit and get a feel for our community.

Below is more information we to answer frequently asked questions. If you have others questions or would like more information, we invite you to contact our church office at 817-274-2571.

Where are you located?

FUMC of Arlington is located on the corner of Center and Division Streets in downtown Arlington. Guests are welcome to park in our visitor spaces in our front parking lot, off of North Street.

What are your worship services like?

In worship, we seek to experience the presence of God through our engagement with scripture, music, prayer and sacraments. We offer four worship services on Sunday mornings and invite you to find out more here.

What should I wear?

We want you to feel comfortable. Many people come to worship in "business casual" clothes, but many others dress in jeans and t-shirts. It is good to worship God together—we want you to be more focused on the worship service than what you’re wearing. We think you’ll fit in, no matter how you dress.

Where do I take my kids?

Children are welcome in our worship services.  If you have children under the age of five, you may choose to take them to the Sunday morning nursery. We offer Sunday school for children of all ages from 9:30–10:30 am.

How do I learn more and get connected?

If you are interested in learning more about FUMC of Arlington and how you can become connected with others in this community of faith, we invite you to contact one of our pastors.

What is church membership and how do I join?
