Faith and Forgiveness Study

Faith and Forgiveness Study
Every Monday, from 04/08/2024 to 05/13/2024, 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM

This group will meet every Monday at 6 pm in Room 100 from April 8 - May 13.

Easter Sunday is just the beginning of the Easter season. Join Pastor Madison for a study covering the topic of Faith and Forgiveness. The story of Easter reminds us that our sins are forgiven through Christ's life-giving teachings, his sacrificial death, and his glorious resurrection. And, we as Christians are taught to forgive others their sins just as ours have been forgiven.

But what does forgiveness look like in practice? Is forgiveness really necessary to heal and move on? What if we find it impossible to "forgive and forget?" Does forgiveness always include reconciliation? How many second chances do we allow others who continue to cause us harm? Is there such a thing as an unforgivable sin? How can we learn to accept forgiveness from others? How do we learn to forgive ourselves our own sins?

These are some heavy topics! At 6:45, we will transition to a more casual setting. Those who are interested are welcome to head across the street to On Tap (200 N. Mesquite St.), where you can purchase an alcholic or nonalcoholic beverage to enjoy as we continue the discussion and fellowship for another 20 or so minutes.
