Summer Camps

Music camp

Dates: Monday-Friday, June 10-14, 2024
Time: 9:00 am-3:00 pm
Grades: 2-7
Cost: $100

Come join us as we learn a musical in a week. Children entering grades 2–7 in Fall 2024 will experience singing, worshiping, the arts, and making memories, culminating in a presentation of the musical for friends and family. Pack a lunch and join us for a week of musical fun!

Musical Performance: Friday, June 14 at 7 pm

Dates: Monday-Friday, June 17-21, 2024
Time: 9:00 am-3:00 pm
Grades: K-6
Cost: $80

Join us as we explore and learn through science, technology, engineering, arts, and math. We will explore what it means to Be The Light through multiple forms of technology and science, and then we will share our experiences of God with others. For campers entering K-6th grades. Campers will need to pack a lunch each day.

Vacation bible camp (vbc)

Dates: Monday-Friday, July 8-12, 2024
Time: 9:00 am-12:00 pm
Grades: 4 years old-6th grade
Cost: Free

4-year-olds through 6th graders are invited to attend a fun week of Vacation Bible Camp where we will learn Bible stories, play games, sing songs, explore science, create arts & crafts, and have a ton of fun. Come join the fun as we learn how God is always with us through Camp Firelight.

Join us for a Family Swim Night at Randol Mill Waterpark. We will celebrate a fun end to VBC!

SPECIAL NEEDS Vacation bible camp (vbc)

Cost: Free
Date: Sunday, July 7
Time: 5:30-7:30 pm
Open to Ages 4+

Join us for Vacation Bible Camp designed for those with learning differences of all ages from 4 years old and above. Each participant will be assigned a volunteer for the evening to help guide them through the activities that meet their abilities and interests. Activities will include arts and crafts, music, storytime, and gym games. Contact Rev. Kay Lancaster for more info on attending or volunteering.

Mission camp

Dates: Monday-Friday, July 29-August 2, 2024
Time: 9:00 am-3:00 pm
Grades: 1-6
Cost: $125

Children entering 1st-6th grades in the Fall of 2024 will spend half of the day in mission work and the other half of the day in related field trips and fun activities. We’ll be exploring how we are Called to Be the Light with ways to share God’s love in everyday life. The best week of the whole summer!

Glen Lake Camps

FUMCA will be taking our registered campers down to Glen Lake Camp in the summer. There are multiple camps for you to choose from.

The camps with the ** beside them are ones where we will be heading down to camp to deliver and pick up campers and when FUMCA staff will also be at camp.

Trek Camp | Grades 1-3

Elementary Camp | Grades 3-6

  • June 16-21, 2024
  • July 14-19, 2024 ** (Ms. Macy or Ms. Betsy will be at camp this week)
  • Junior High Camp | Grades 6-8
    • June 16-21, 2024 ** (we will have a FUMCA volunteer for Jr High Camp)
    • June 23-28, 2024
    • July 14-19, 2024 **(we will have a FUMCA volunteer for Elem Camp) (This week conflicts with Mission Trip for Youth)
  • High School Camp | Grades 9-13
    • July 7-12, 2024  ** (Loni will be at camp this week)
  • Family Camp (families must have at least one child in K-3rd grade)
    • August 30-September 1, 2024 (Labor Day Weekend) **Ms. Betsy will be at camp
  • Emerging Leaders Institute | Grades 11-12 in Fall 2024
    • Can serve any Camp Week as Counselors
    • Attend High School Camp Week 4

FUMCA Children’s & Youth Ministries will pay half of your camper’s registration fee for summer camp. You MUST let us know when you register your child so that we can pay our portion and keep you up to date on any summer camp news.

Health & Safety

El Ministerio Infantil FUMCA se está preparando para un verano de diversión con capacidad limitada para programación presencial. Seguimos comprometidos a brindar excelentes oportunidades en línea para sus hijos durante todo el año en un esfuerzo por servir a todas nuestras familias.

Para crear ambientes seguros para que sus hijos encuentren a Jesús, notará que algunas cosas se verán un poco diferentes a medida que nos volvamos a reunir. Aquí hay algunas cosas importantes que debes saber:

-Será OBLIGATORIO registrarse para asistir. No hay inscripciones sin cita previa. Es imprescindible realizar la inscripción previa a los campamentos.

-El campamento abrirá 15 minutos antes de que comience el programa; no llegue temprano. Por favor recoja a tiempo cuando el campamento haya terminado.

-Solicitamos que solo UN cuidador camine con los niños durante la entrega y recogida.

-Utilice desinfectante para manos antes de entrar y salir del área. Hay estaciones de desinfección de manos disponibles en todo el campus.

-Mantenga sus pertenencias personales al mínimo: empaquete solo los artículos necesarios para el día.

-Los bebederos estarán cerrados. Por favor envíe a su hijo con mucha agua para beber. Podemos rellenar una botella de agua reutilizable para su hijo.

-Las puertas se mantendrán abiertas cuando sea posible.

El aforo de las aulas será limitado.

-Se observará distanciamiento social en todos los pasillos y espacios comunes. Las actividades en el aula estarán diseñadas para el distanciamiento social.

-Los espacios se desinfectarán entre usos.

-El examen de salud se completará al registrarse para el campamento.

-Si usted o su hijo se encuentran en una categoría de alto riesgo, o si usted o un miembro de su familia no se sienten bien, quédese en casa.

-Siga todas las pautas de distanciamiento social: ayude a su hijo a abstenerse de abrazar o tocar a nadie que no sea miembro de la familia.

-Lávese las manos o use desinfectante para manos con frecuencia.

-Mantenga su teléfono visible y configurado para que vibre en caso de que necesitemos comunicarnos con usted por algún motivo. Confirme al momento del check-in que tenemos su número de teléfono celular actual registrado.

-Hable con su hijo con anticipación sobre estos protocolos de seguridad. Si su hijo no puede cumplir con estos protocolos, nos comunicaremos con usted para que lo recoja de la programación de inmediato.

Preschool Playdays

Dates: Wednesdays, June 5, June 26, July 3, July 17, July 24
Time: 9–11 am in Hagler Hall
Ages: 1–5 year olds & their grownups

Join us for Preschool Playdays on Wednesday mornings this summer. We’ll explore God’s big world through play and activities and movement. Grown ups stay with their preschoolers for a fun morning.
