Stephen Ministry
Offers ongoing one-on-one spiritual care and support for persons who are experiencing illness, grief, divorce and other life difficulties. Stephen Ministers take as their inspiration Matthew 25: 40, “Just as you did it to one of the least of these who are member of my family, you did it to me.”
Stephen Ministers go through a thorough training program that prepares them for the service they provide. Individuals may request a Stephen Minister by contacting the church office.
The Intercessory Prayer Ministry
The Intercessory Prayer Ministry prays for all requests for congregational members and friends. Requests are received from the Sunday bulletins, confidential cards found in the church office, phone calls and the internet. We invite you to become a part of the ministry by spending one hour of your time weekly in the Prayer Room praying for others.
Our Intercessory Prayer Line is 817-860-1083.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
The Prayer Shawl Ministry prepares hand knitted, crocheted and fabric prayer shawls for those who have an extended illness or are recovering from surgery. We invite you to become a member of that ministry by attending a monthly meeting on the fourth Friday of the month at 10:30 AM in room 159. You do not need to know how to knit to be apart of this ministry.
